Here it is! The Butler's Pantry, Laundry Room, Wrapping room, Craft room!
What was once a tiny laundry closet, with the only door leading out to the pool, is now one of my favorite spaces in my home.
Countertops are Caesarstone in London Grey,
Backsplash is custom beadboard
The faucet was saved from my old kitchen while the apron front sink is new. This one is now discontinued, but I found the same brand, similar style kitchen faucet here or bathroom faucet here.
Corbels help add an extra architectural element
I really love to hang dry my clothes but I don't enjoy the space that my old drying rack took. I used the parts from this drying rack and made what you see here!
I love my laundry basket system!
Now, to get the boys to actually put their dirty clothes IN the baskets!!
The huge turtle shell was found by my oldest son. I cleaned it up then shellacked it.
The ribbons are held in the drawer using curtain tension rods.
Acrylic drawers help keep my boys organized.
Yes, I totally spray painted my pencil sharpener!! Isn't it fab?!
Life with five males lends itself to eating a lot of food. Baskets help keep my pantry area organized.
similar baskets here, Large basket HERE, and here
After spending HOURS trying to construct a wooden can holder thingy off Pinterest that ultimately didn't work very well (cans wouldn't roll to the front),
I tried THESE STACKABLE BASKETS
and they were the PERFECT solution!
I love a happy accident.
I have since found THESE and although they are taller, they will work beautifully in a pantry.
Who doesn't love a pocket door?! This pocket door was the original door that lead out of the laundry room to the pool. It was important to get light into the hallway, so we refinished, converted, and installed it in this location. I think it adds so much charm.
Chinoiserie Love
Anthropologie mother of pearl knobs play so well off the French wire cabinets.
I hope you enjoyed this glimpse into my workhorse. Now, back to reality!

DeleteHow clever to make the laundry room, usually a dark, isolated room, into such a happy, inviting space! After all, moms spend so much time doing laundry. It may as well be a beautiful experience. I would gladly spend all day in this room! I also love your attention to detail like the French wire cabinets and pearl knobs. How brilliant to also make this your pantry and craft room. Your organization methods are incredible! I love everything about this room! You are A Domestic Goddess!

ReplyDeleteErika, That is just the nicest thing. I just started this little blog a few months ago and Boy! has it been a learning curve!! Be sure and follow me on Instagram! @elevengables. I MIGHT have a little addiction there. :) xoxo, Emily

DeleteJust beautiful! Functional and lovely to look at. Would love a designated pantry like this one day :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! xo
DeleteWhere did you get the pavers for the brick floor? Love it!!
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly! The bricks are actually old used brick off of a pre 1920's church in Ada, Oklahoma. We poured the slab so that we could use full used brick. xo
DeleteLOTS of hard work went in to that.....and I'd imagine you're very proud. Splendid!
ReplyDeleteThank you!! xo
DeleteAbsolutely beautiful!!! I love all of it. So glad to have found your blog and be following along now. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!! xo
DeleteCan I just say I am in love!!!! I could spend hours on end in this space!! And that's saying a lot since I despise doing laundry!! Love this and your blog!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!! xo
DeleteWow! Love your new space. If you don't mind a couple of questions, what are the dimensions of your room and how wide is the walkway?
ReplyDeleteHi! The entire room is 11' x 8'. The walkway is 4' wide. Hope that helps!! xo, Emily
DeleteWow! One of the prettiest laundry/pantry/storage areas ever! Congrats for being featured over at Savvy Southern Style blog.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!! xo

ReplyDeleteThank you, Pam!! Lots of blood, sweat, and tears over this one! xoxo
DeleteMrs (David) Laura Olson, NEED info on your fab pantry shelves and if it is a DIY possibility.
ReplyDeleteHi Laura, Thank you! I had all of the cabinets custom made onsite with a fab carpenter. If you know how to use all the tools, you could probably DIY it.
DeleteEmily, this is one amazing space!!! Not only gorgeous but so functional and organized. And can we talk about how much I love that drying rack - so smart!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kris! Xxoo, emily
DeleteLove this space!! Do you mind sharing how you made the drying rack? Did you pop out the bottom of the drawer? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi Ginny! I am working on a tutorial. Be sure to subscribe to my email list so you don't miss it. I promise not to sell or distribute your information. I only send out my latest post to your email. xo, emily
DeleteDid you ever post a tutorial on the drying racks? I am in love with them!! How do I subscribe to your email list??
DeleteThanks!!
Beautiful! and classy! Wondering where you obtained those wire baskets for the canned goods?
ReplyDeleteVanessa, if you hover over the word "stackable basket" above the canned good picture, it will take you to the amazon link and show you where to purchase the basket! I hope that helps. xo
DeleteBeautiful! We have been desperately trying to come up with some ideas for our laundry/pantry. Can you please give me the dimensions of your pantry cabinets? They appear to be deeper on the bottom two shelves...is that for heavier or bulk items?
ReplyDeleteKathy, I basically found the baskets that I wanted to use in the pantry, then customized the pantry around them. The bottom two shelves are 20" deep, while the uppers are 15" deep. The width was determined on my basket width. I wanted to fit two large baskets side by side. Hope that helps.
DeleteBeautiful room!!! I think my favorite picture though is "Back to Reality". I too have what I think is a pretty awesome laundry room and would like it to stay perfectly staged all the time - but as we all know that isn't reality. It's easy to look at all these beautiful pictures on Pinterest and think things look like this all the time...
ReplyDeleteI have spent more hours than I want to admit on the can food storage thingy too and your baskets are brilliant...do you remember where you got them.
Hi Kim! Thank you for your sweet comment! If you hover over "stackable basket" words in the content, it will take you to the amazon link where I purchased the wire baskets. Hope that helps!! xox, Emily
DeleteHey Emily,
ReplyDeleteI love your new space!! I am also looking to use similar baskets to what you've used in your pantry shelving. The link you provided is not working. Would you please share the link again or source for the baskets.m
Thanks so much,
Jennifer
Thank you, Jennifer! It looks like the baskets I used are out of stock, but I found very similar sized baskets and linked up to them. They are about the same price wise too. I hope that helps! Emily
DeleteHello! Would you describe the beautiful floor in this amazing space? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing! If I ever have space like that, I would love to be that organized. Well done friend!
ReplyDeleteThis is AMAZING! Loving so much of it and definitely going to borrow lots of these great ideas. Quick question, where are those brass pulls from? I have those gorgeous anthro knobs and looking for pulls just like yours. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThank you! The brass pulls are Martha Stewart from Home Depot! xox
DeleteI can't tell you how much I love this room! It is pure perfection! I can't believe you feed your family canned chili and pork and beans though! ha ha
ReplyDeleteLove this! Do you mind sharing source of countertops?
ReplyDeleteI love the colors. What is the color paint you used for the cabinets?
ReplyDeletethe room is great! the only pic I like is the last one because thats reality!!! I love when e/th is nice and clean but honestly in reality we know that laundry does get done, drawers get left open... great room! use it in good health!
ReplyDeleteI have been stalking this post for sometime now and I finally have the opportunity to use French wire in my cabinets but the link no longer works for Amazon. Can you send another link? Thank you so much...
ReplyDeleteAshley from Tennessee
hi! Is there an instruction sheet or tutorial for the WONDERFUL pull out drying rack/drawer? i SOOOO need this in my even tinier laundry room!
ReplyDeleteHow do I get those baskets - love them! The link you provided does to a different basket on amazon's site...thank you!
